The search for independence is the journey that every person navigates, where in addition to knowing more about himself, the person redefines ideas and sheds prejudices and stereotypes. It is a way to seek and find answers about the depths of being, even if they move away from the system and social structure that surrounds him. It requires following the instinct, discovering what you like and don't, understanding that it is possible to be different, exploring, finding what nourishes you and learning from it; It means identifying behaviors, being aware of how to seize opportunities or let them pass, pursue motivations, commit with ideals by appropriating them, assimilate that you can make mistakes and also find ways to correct them.
The clouds are present in the story as a symbol of freedom, witnesses of the transformations that occur in the life of each person, of the confrontations with their conflicts and the achievement of their desires.
The purpose of the journey is to develop yourself as an individual who does not depend on others for definition, reaching a state of full inner consciousness (spiritual, ideological, cultural, social, professional, etc.) that allows you to be at total peace with yourself. This search contributes to fundamental pieces connected with the subject's interior and they are constantly nourished thanks to the vital force bond.
Each subject is in its own process, assembling himself, adjusting himself, conditioned by different factors. Each decision leaves imprints on one's own being.
The work represents these experiences through the folds of the paper airplanes, marks that are revealed when the figure is opened (disassembled). The folds create polygons, some strongly marked, others barely visible. Each polygon describes a part of the essence of being, and as a whole, they show the portrait of a person.
The paper airplane is a symbol and a metaphor. Each plane is born with its own conditions and a structure that will support its flight. There are some who fly, gliding in a straight line forward, others that move with unpredictable trajectories, while a few simply return to their starting point. There are planes that dodge obstacles incredibly, others that collide with everything or plummet to the ground. There are airplanes that are conceived with errors or are incomplete in their creation, some of them even born to never fly.
No matter how much they resemble one another, one paper airplane will never be the same as another; However, they all have in common the desire to flight towards independence, choosing their own path to find their identity.
