ES ENJorge Mesa, Colombian photographer (Medellín, 1978).
Research and a dedicated study of the image have been constants throughout his professional career, and have served as the foundation for integrating knowledge to the functionality of the image, through technique as a determining element in his work.
His personal projects explore an aesthetic where abstraction, nature and the human condition are protagonists. The results obtained are based on digital photography, and in some cases they are mixed with graphic interventions that reinforce the narrative dynamics of each piece, a work that distances itself from its commercial portfolio.
ARTIST STATEMENT:
“My works explore paths towards understanding the human condition and its dynamics around natural balance. Through abstraction I seek to reflect ideas, sensations and connections that identify the causes and purposes of people with a superior idea of conscience, care and conservation. The predominant themes in my work are related to the human being, nature and the cosmos”.
